Album launch day for my old band Bits of Kids, an open bar for the band.
Craziest moment you’ve had in the band?
Our van breaking down on tour and realizing if we cant get any help to fix it we were so poor we had no way of getting another van for transporting all of our equipment. That was pressure.
Deepest lyric one of your songs features?
The wound it never heals its like a bad pain turning me upside turning me insane (Driving The Rhythm of My Mind).
Easiest song you wrote?
2 Punk 2 Funk a driving fast paced instrumental with one chord Bm going on a loop.
Favorite song in your set?
Death Plays The Final Chord, I ripped the lyric from an interview I saw with Johnny Rotten.
Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?
Paul X the bass player from The Crushed Puppets.
Hardest thing about being in a band?
I miss spending time with my dog ( Staffy ) when I’m working so much.
Interesting fact about one of your members?
The guitarist used to be a cremator at the cemetery.
Jokes you have in the band?
The guitarist was dying to get in the band.
Key to writing a song?
Drums! I have to start with a rhythm or beat that brings feel to me that unravels the lyrical direction.
Longest distance you’ve traveled to play a show?
We played the Toowoomba hotel in North Queensland, Australia about 10 hours 0r 870 klms.
Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?
I got to see the great Jazz musician Dizzy Gillespie play and met him backstage in Sydney.
New band you’d recommend?
Right now the hottest act is Melbourne underground band Flip That Groove.
Opening for this band would be ideal?
If I got to play with Flip That Groove I’d be very happy to open for them any time.
Place you’d most like to tour?
Detroit I’m really into street art and photography and I saw a documentary on the skate scene there it looks very cool.

Reason for the title of your recent/forthcoming release?
Identity was our last release in May a song by the great UK band X Ray Specs. I always wanted to record that song so I did it this year.

The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?
No I think we have to live in the now art is always evolving new bands with fresh energy is what i want when I go to a gig.

Variations you’d like to do on any of your songs?
I always like to warm up at band practice doing songs with a reggae vibe just for fun.
What do your fans mean to you?
I love that my music connects and resonates with anybody especially some of the deeper tracks on social issues.

Not yet.

The manager.
