A song that made you want to make music?
Pink Floyd – The Trial
Best rider you’ve had?
Once we played this 200 year old Catholic church that was converted into a music venue in Pittsburgh. We requested a gallon of virgin blood for our ritual backstage consumption, (due to it being a Full Moon of course) along with our usual energy drinks and booze. When we arrived, we were directed to the green room in the basement, sure enough there in a basket of Redbull and Vodka was a Gallon of Virgins Blood (at least that’s what the tag claimed).
Craziest moment you’ve had in the band?
The previous answer for the rider would be it, everything else so far has been relatively normal.
Deepest lyric one of your songs features?
“I cut, to see, if I still bleed….The pain, reminds me, that I’m, still alive….” It is the pre-chorus for song Unraveling Sanity. Noreen wrote the lyrics, however I relate to it and I know there are a shit ton of people out there that relate as well.
Easiest song you wrote?
We have this new song called Probed. Sounds like some alien shit and it will be on our full length album Art of Corruption slated for March 2024 release.
Favourite song in your set?
Tie between Our Last Midnight (the title track from our EP) and Unraveling Sanity.
Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?
No brainer…..The legendary Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth.
Hardest thing about being in a band?
The need to work a day job with “normal people” to fund ourselves.
Interesting fact about one of your members?
I am a Certified Intravenous Compounding Pharmacy Technician.
Jokes you have in the band?
Mikey’s bloody nipples. Dude doesn’t even use a pump and bleeds all over the place show after show.
Key to writing a song?
Write what you want, play what you want, and fuck what anyone else thinks.
Longest distance you’ve traveled to play a show?
For me several states away, for Inherently Lost so far, only about 420 miles.
Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?
I’ve been to hundreds of shows and played hundreds of shows, and I would have to say Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust. His voice is so damn powerful live (no backing tracks) just raw and real.
New band you’d recommend?
Honestly, I haven’t heard anything new that tickles my fancy, it’s just an onslaught of “scene” bands day after day.
Opening for this band would be ideal?
Fear Factory, Cradle Of Filth, Lacuna Coil.
Place you’d most like to tour?
Germany.
Quote you’d like to pass on to our readers?
“In a world filled with endless consumption, We are all Inherently Lost”
Reason for the title of your recent/forthcoming release?
For the album Art of Corruption…… Just take a look around at your local, state, and country’s government….It’s fucked!
See us live at?
Nothing till Spring 2024. Keep in touch on our socials and music platforms www.allmylinks.com/inherentlylost
The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?
”old days” for me would be 2006-2010 where I not only attended a ton of shows but opened for pretty much every metalcore, deathcore, mathcore type band. The metal scene from then compared to now is 10,000 times better.
Unusual merchandise?
We have this item called a Blue Dolphin with our logo attached to it. Only available at shows.
Variations you’d like to do on any of your songs?
I would like to hear a DJ type remix of Unraveling Sanity, similar to Fear Factory’s re-manufactured remix album.
What do your fans mean to you?
More than they know, the amount of merch we sell at shows mean so much to us.
X-rays or any treatments needed for band related injuries?
Not yet….
You’re late for a show, whose fault is it?
The ole lady probably…lol
Zoo animal that next describes the personality of your band?
White Tiger…Pretty to look at, but will fuck you in the ass when your not looking!
