Immerse take on the A-Z challenge!

Our A-Z challenge is a fun way to get to know the many bands and artists out there. Here it’s the turn of Immerse to tell us all about themselves!

A song that made you want to make music?

Pink FloydMoney

Best rider you’ve had?

Buffalo burgers in Plymouth!

Craziest moment in the band?

Touring Europe! We headlined Astra Strube in Hamburg and it was crazyyy show. We also got to see some beautiful places like Plitvice national park in Croatia & explore the city of Verona. Either that or meeting Dick & Dom.

Deepest lyric one of your songs features?

“I fell in love, with falling for you” (Distant)

Easiest song you wrote?

Vile

Favourite song in your set?

23/19

Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?

Parker Cannon

Hardest thing about being in a band?

It’s not just about making good music anymore! The amount of graft around a release and learning about the business side of things really takes its toll. It’s all part of the fun though and enjoyable to learn new things.

Interesting fact about one of your members?

Archie works as an aircraft engineer!

Jokes you have in the band?

Josh & Devlin are terrible snorers – they have the nicknames Snorlax and Evolved Snorlax. I won’t tell you which one is which…

Key to writing a song?

Make sure the words come from the heart. Write the music that you want to create and enjoy listening to yourself. I believe that people cannot truely connect to forced art.

Longest distance you’ve travelled to play a show?

We played in Croatia on a European tour a few years ago. Beautiful place but so far from home!

Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?

Robert Plant

New band you’d recommend?

Superlove

Opening for this band would be ideal?

The Story So Far

Place you’d most like to tour?

USA / CANADA

Quote you’d like to pass on to our readers?

Value makes the difference.

Reason for the title of your recent/forthcoming release?

Our upcoming single ’S.H.T’ stands for SELF HELP THERAPY. The song is a battle within yourself. Questioning your sanity and being sick of the repetitve nature of daily life.

See us live at?

Our next show is Focus Wales Festival in Wrexham on May 5th!

The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?

I definitely think that the quality of music was better in the old days but that’s down to there being so many more artists/bands in the present. We are spoilt for choice now. There are some truely inspiring modern musicians and it’s even harder to make your music stand out against so much competition. You have to respect the work that they have put in to get where they are.

Unusual merchandise?

Nothing but top quality goods in the IMMERSE merch catalogue.

Variations you’d like to do of any of your songs?

We’ve always talked about recording an acoustic EP one day. Re-working a few of our most popular songs into chilled versions would be a lot of fun.

What do your fans mean to you?

Everything! We couldn’t keep going without their support. The love we recieve at gigs really fuel us to keep creating exciting new music for people enjoy. If we can help people forget about their problems for one night and enjoy our live show then we have done our job! We have received special messages from fans saying how our music has got them through tough times and it really makes us proud.

X-rays or any treatments needed for band related injuries?

Not yet, thankfully.

You’re late for a show, whose fault is it?

Josh for doing his 2 hour morning routine…

Zoo animal that best describes the personality of your band?

Hyena
