For The Fallen Dreams take on the A-Z Challenge

Our A-Z challenge is a fun way to get to know the many bands and artists out there. Here it’s the turn of Chad Ruhlig, vocalist of For The Fallen Dreams to tell us all about the band!

A song that made you want to make music?

American Head ChargeJust So You Know

Best rider you have had?

Europe always comes through with the entire rider! Chips, salsa, socks, towels, protein drinks, meats, cheeses, snacksyou name it!

Craziest moment in the band?

Hard to pinpoint one particular moment over the course of 17 years, BUT I’d say Hugh Jackman coming out to see us play a show is up there.

Deepest lyric one of your songs features?

So life after death is an empty space, and death is the symbol of freedom and you can’t take away the memories they’re etched in my soul they’ll live forever til the day that I need em” from the song Searching

Easiest song you wrote?

Brothers in Arms in 2008…Where were you, when I needed you.

Favourite song in your set?

Currently, Re-Animate! Very energetic and fun to perform vocally.

Guest you’d most like to feature on your record?

Fred Durst. Easy.

Hardest thing about being in a band?

Being away from family and missing out on life moments. Life keeps moving while you’re away. The good the bad and everything in-between. That’s the hardest.

Interesting fact about one of your members?

Marc is a male stripper

Jokes you have in the band?

Too many, but “sugar chicken” is the newest installment

Key to writing a song?

Leave everything on the table, nothing can ever be off limits when writing.

Longest distance you’ve travelled to play a show?

Japan was quite the trip for a handful of shows, stateside maybe New York in the earlier years? We’re pretty logical when it comes to only booking one date and not losing money.

Most inspiring musician you’ve experienced?

Watching Behemoth side stage in 2015 was pretty inspiring

New band you’d recommend?

Prison

Opening for this band would be ideal?

Limp Bizkit, duh.

Place you’d most like to tour?

Australia, hands down!

Quote that you’d like to pass on to our readers?

Once you be you nobody can be you but you. So be yourself!

Reason for the title of your forthcoming release?

It’s the rebirth of the band and this is who we are.

See us live at?

All 2023/ 2024 state side and abroad!

The old days of music were better than the current, do you agree?

Disagree, appreciate the past and embrace the ever moving needle of the future.

Unusual merchandise?

Flip flops.

Variations you’d like to do on one of your songs?

Re-Animate could definitely be a really cool EDM track.

What do your fans mean to you?

Everything, wouldn’t be able to continue this without all of their love and support over the last 17 years.

X-rays or any treatments needed for band injuries?

None, thankfully!

You’re late for a show, whose fault is it?

Marc. Nothing more to be said here.

Zoo animal that best describes the personality of your band

A Lemur.
