Hot Takes: Getting To Know Neverlanded

Welcome to the feature; Hot Takes! We chat to a band or artist that we have unearthed as some what of a hidden gem and allow them the chance to introduce themselves to you, the reader.

Who is in your band?

Jaca on drums/vocals, Niki on bass guitar/vocals, and Pete on vocals/guitars.

What is your take on your own sound?

Neverlanded write and produce songs that the universe puts in their heads. We do whatever the song requires and then let our egos out in the studio.

If someone was listening to your band for the first time, what song would you tell them to listen to and why?

We find it hard to choose between our songs. Would you ask a mother to chose between her children?

What is the plan for 2019?

Play, sweat, breath, eat, sleep, and definitely stay alive. Visit our website www.neverlanded.com for links to our social media where you can find out where and when we play in a venue near you.

What is the one song you wish you wrote?

Please don’t do this to us when there are so many artists out there that we admire! If pressed, I guess we’d have to say it’s between Garbage‘s “I’m only happy when it rains”, PJ Harvey‘s “Dear Darkness” and The Prodigy‘s “Firestarter”.

What three bands inspired or continue to inspire you the most?

Placebo, Nirvana, and The Cranberries. They helped create and shape Neverlanded into who they are today..

Where can our readers see you live or listen to your music?

You can visit www.soundcloud.com/neverlanded to listen to singles we’ve released in the past and on April the 1st we release our debut EP “F.u.U.” For updates regarding our gigs please visit our website neverlanded.com and our social media @neverlandedband (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

If your band was an animal, what would it be and why?

It would be a Liantcorn. A combination of a fearless big kitty, a strong and invisible to most ant, and a visionary unicorn.
