“Yes TRC’s back, always worth the wait. EP part 2. Let’s go” is how TRC begin new EP Lifestyle, their first in 5 years as opening track Moaner kicks in with an angsty piece of tongue-in-cheek hardcore. The instrumentation throughout the record is second to none and the light-hearted lyrics put a spin on some of the problems in life, notably on London’s Greatest Love Story (Part II), which also contains a pretty fly riff. Same. But Better reaffirms that TRC are in fact back opening with “Ladies and gentlemen, sorry for the wait, not to state the obvious but… We’re back”. Take It features Prowler’s Nathan and is a barrage of noise and rowdiness before Lifestyle closes off with the titular track rounding the EP off with a track that not only sums up the record, but aptly life in general.
