TALCO – Silent Town Album Review

The album as a whole was very enjoyable. Put together musically well. Their sound is very unique, and I can only imagine how wonderful their stage presence would be. There are no words to describe this wonderfully talented 6 piece band that would do them any justice. Silent Town is a masterpiece that I recommend should be given a listen.

They say to never judge a book by its cover, in this case an album by its cover. However, for TALCO I couldn’t help but be intrigued. The cover art is so beautiful, one cannot help but wonder what Silent Town will hold. From the roses around the grandfather clock, to the shadows being overlooked by an identified being, I couldn’t wait to hear the stories that I hope would be told within the lyrics.

The album opens up with songs that have catchy riffs, great drums, and what sounds like trumpets. Each note is complimented by a voice that fit so well together, making the album an easy listen. One cannot help but move to the beat. Throughout the album there are tracks that move one emotionally, from the track “Silent Town” that is sung with such passion, (I truly wish I spoke Italian to better understand the lyrics.) to the last track that is played at a fast pace with a hint of rock that one could fall for.
