PRETTY LITTLE ENEMY-BITCH PLEASE

I look forward to more tracks to be released from this band, as so far, I’d say judging from this EP they are definitely worth keeping an eye on. I wish the best for the release of EP, and the band itself.

Alt metal group Pretty Little Enemy will be releasing their latest album Bitch PLEase on June 3rd.

The first track is Myles, which begins with a few riffs of guitars, but then the style changes with soft vocals and instrumentals coming into the equation. Both get a little rougher and heavier throughout the chorus, and then go back when the next verse begins. Though the track switches from one to the other, both verses and choruses fit very well together. Also, we get a catchy instrumental part at one point, so there is that too.

The next track, Vertebreak, unlike the last, is heavy-sounding throughout. Also, judging by the lyrics, there seems to be a feel of regret in the words. For example “I had my chance, I blew it” and “Let’s stop the clock, rewind this back”. To me, the vocalist sounds as though she is taking out her frustration with this song. There’s definitely emotion in her voice.

And finally, we have What Makes You, which includes some nicely layered riffs and excellent vocals. I must say, that out of the three tracks I’ve heard, this one is probably my favourite. Why? Well, listen to the lines “What makes you so goddamn perfect?” and “I really don’t know what they see”. We’ve all felt that way about someone, whether we care to admit it or not. I can say I have, and I’m sure many others have too. The relatability is what makes me enjoy this track the most. Oh, and the track ends with a very satisfying “biiiiiitch” from the vocalist. You’ll know it when you hear it.
