Questions is the solo release from alt-rock In Crowded Skies’ vocalist/bassist Pete Herbert. The three track EP sees a mellower side to the frontman.
Opening track Head In The Clouds is a soft track that makes for a calming listen. Meant To Be provides the best vocals of the EP and is a rockier track, with a small guitar solo and more prominent drum beat, while still keeping the mellow form of the EP. Title track The Question is the strongest track with its opening guitar solo and catchy ‘aahs’, the vocals are soft.
Overall the EP is a strong release from the alt-rock frontman whose vocals suit the more mellow rocky track. While this is not the first set of tracks Pete has done solo but it is the mellowest and more heartfelt lyrically.
