Sleeping With Sirens release a new album via Epitaph Records on April 8. Live and Unplugged was recorded on the band’s summer 2015 intimate 12 date We Like It Loud Quiet tour, where they performed some of their biggest hits, Madness album tracks and even some covers all acoustically for very lucky fans.
“An album that will more than satisfy existing fans and also bring in any doubters of the band’s talent or genre”. Liz gives ‘How To Bleed’ a listen…
‘Bitter Pill’ is a slow burner and is a great introduction to Pryti as an artist.
The Not So Perfect EP debut by a young teenager Johnnie Guilbert, who is currently on his 3rd year of touring America and Canada, has pleasantly surprised fans with an EP, with both deep emotional lyrical concepts and it’s simplistic acoustic, pop and emo themed songs.
The album has a very DIY feel to it. It’s a feeling that very often gets lost with bands as they develop but Vampires Everywhere have stayed true to themselves and the hard work that has gone into the album can be felt throughout. It is a tremendous collection of dark, gritty and emotionally challenged rock songs that will be loved be new and old fans.
In the backstreets of Pontypridd town centre lies Clwb Y Bont, currently the only venue that has live music. It’s a small, quaint place that pays homage to its Welsh heritage with not only its name but also the multiple paintings that adorn the inside…
Distant Like You Asked is broody, anger fueled music that has pushed the bar. Like Pacific are showing the world this is what they do, be prepared for more intensity to come from this five piece.
For this gig I headed over to Edinburgh and It was good to see that during the sound check all the bands were getting along, including the local support, showing that the scene and band community is alive and well.
“Having seen these guys four times last year, they always seem to be on the edge when headlining a show (or stage) compared to when they don’t. But, tonight none of that was present and they really blew me away”.
“The EP is a stand-out release from the dark rock trio. Known for telling stories through their songs, this release shows a perfect example of just that. Using a unique vocal range to increase intensity in the story”.
The overall album is full of monster breakdowns, atmospheric riffs, smooth cleans and guttural growls.
The hurt these guys have been through in the past few years can be felt throughout the album, even without being familiar with the back story you get a sense of what they’ve been through. However, under all the darkness and anger you have a catchy, well put together album that fans are sure to love and making the wait well worth it.
For those of you who have never been to the Thekla in Bristol, the first thing you notice about it (and the most obvious) is that it is a boat. The second thing is that inside it is a maze with on occasion dark corridors, one of which leads to a bar where tonight’s show is taking place.
While this is not the first set of tracks Pete has done solo but it is the mellowest and more heartfelt lyrically.
