The Welsh/Oxfordshire quartet Never Found release their hotly anticipated debut EP Sorrow & Cyanide on Halloween. This 4 track EP is a must listen for fans of Bullet for My Valentine and Aiden. Never Found have built a strong fan base through stints supporting artists including Ashestoangels, Fearless Vampire Killers and William Control.
Opening track Just Like Hollywood is a lively opener with a great beat and riffs. The lyrics talk about alcohol and drugs. This is a track that will be very popular as it is very upbeat and a great listen.
Choking Me has a very Bullet for My Valentine style about it with intense riffs and baseline providing a great track that has possibly overtaken my long-time favourite track of theirs in closing track Take Me Away.
King of Nothing has the best vocals of the EP. The deep lyrics are contrasted with the upbeat tune, however the balance makes for a very good listen whatever your mood.
Closing track Take Me Away is a track that fans of the band will be very familiar with. The music video was released in 2013 and it has understandably been a very popular fixture in their live performances with very relatable lyrics and a catchy tune.
Fans of Never Found have been waiting for this EP since the video for Take Me Away was released in December 2013. With great, often deep, lyrics that can be related to and heavy tracks. Both the clean and scream vocals from vocalist Dan Barnes and bassist James Sweeten are very tight throughout the EP and the talent from drummer Kieran Ivey and guitarist Sam Redmayne is shown throughout. This EP has been a long time coming but on first listen is definitely worth the wait!
