Miss May I are set to release their new album Shadows Inside on June 6. The band have received critical acclaim for all their previous releases and have gained a dedicated following across the world.
Title track and album opener Shadows Inside is ferocious from the start and makes you want to start a one man (or woman) pit in your room. Casualties is brutal and one of my favourite tracks on the record. Death Knows My Name has mellower guitars and smooth vocals with the harsh screams providing a massive contrast. Closing track My Sorrow is the wrong choice for an album closer because you just want it to go on forever.
The guitar work throughout the album is incredible and the smooth cleans and rough screams complement each other well.
