Mayday Parade are back with their new album Sunnyland and it is incredible. From the opening of first track Never Sure, it has you hooked with atmospheric instrumentation and soaring vocals. It’s Hard To Be Religious When Certain People Never Get Incinerated By Lightning is a soaring piece of catchy rock. While Piece Of Your Heart momentarily brings the pace down to a slow ballad, Is Nowhere picks things back up. The vocals in Take My Breath Away are absolutely spectacular in a heartfelt acoustic. How Do You Like Me Now is one of the many stand out tracks on the record.
In all honesty, words are not going to do this record justice. It takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions from the goosebump inducing Where You Are to the upbeat If I Were You. It hits you hard and truly shows the talent Mayday Parade possess and why they are one of the most talked about bands.
