Lost Dials – Girls Like You

Lost Dials are a four-piece pop/rock band from North-West London. After forming in summer 2014, the last year has seen the band complete two UK headline tours following support tours with the likes of Room 94, Alexander and Symmetry. The band brought out this track back in February this year and what a song this is! With their indie/ rock tone, I expect big things for these guys in the coming years!

The track starts off with a melodic drum beat and rhythm guitar. Once the lead guitar comes in, the song is already sounding sick. When the vocals come in you can tell with the tone of the vocalists voice instantly that the band have an indie feel to them. The lyrics begin with “menthol cigarette in her hand as she went to write her number with eyeliner pencil“, already these lyrics stick to me as its so stereotypical in this day and age. Even throughout the song, the lyrics are telling a story and I really admire the way they have done it! The song ends with the name of the track and the way it ends is a perfect ending to the song.

The band have uploaded a music video for this track and I’m not even surprised that it is just as good as the song. It was produced well and the video was a standard video of the guys performing the song. Simple but effective! I’d definitely rate this track 9/10! I loved it!

My name is Kirsty Johnston and I come from a Village called Bothwell. I have a such a tickle for Pop-punk and my favourite band is Neck Deep. I attend New College Lanarkshire studying music business in the hope to worm my way into the industry setting up live events. I am not afraid to spit out my honest opinion but I love everyone.
