He Is Legend recently released their fifth full-length album Few on Spinefarm Records.
Air Raid kicks in with a cool riff and harsh vocals. It is a catchy track that kicks the record off with a bang! Sand has you wanting to headbang straight off the bat and then evolves into more of a calmer and almost prog-feel track. Alley Cat‘s title made me think of the Disney film The Aristocat’s. It has a feel akin to Sand and talks of swallowing sadness.
Gold Dust attracts you with its psychedelic sound, a track that could be trippy more than anything at the start, but it works well. A simple instrumentation for Eastern Locust allows the vocals to shine through and harmonies to fully show in the first verse. Lyrically, it hints at darker themes with mentions of a “hand around your neck” and “you’re still mine.” The Vampyre kicks straight in with lyrics about burning the dead.
The overall feel of this record is a good one. It’s catchy, has anthemic choruses and is a very easy listen!
