Opening with New White Extremity, you’re met with an enticing riff and emo-like melodies. Both of which are staple features throughout the album. The atmospheric ‘aahs’ that open Golgotha bring a lighter feel to what is Glassjaw‘s heaviest work to date, which doesn’t last long as the aggressiveness kicks back in as soon as the vocals start. Bastille Day is certainly attention grabbing with the quick change into more old-school style percussion with the inclusion of the drums building intensity towards the middle of this instrumental.

Tracks like Pompeii and Closer will transfer over well live as they’re catchy and will get the crowd going! This is a strong effort for a band that haven’t released a record in fifteen years!
