North East quintet Glass Harbour formed in mid-2014 and wasted no time in creating a sound that has the power of The Ghost Inside and is reminiscent to Architects and Being As An Ocean. Debut EP Distance From Departure is released on October 16th.
The opening instrumental to 1642 is an entrancing melody which sets the tone for the rest of the EP. The shout-out refrain in One Day combined with intricate guitar work makes for a cracking track. Homegrounds provides an anthemic hook that compliments the hardcore track.
The vocals from Robert Bedford are class throughout the entire mini-album. The opening melodies are entrancing and the guitar riffs are intricate, yet explosive. A true hardcore release with anthemic hooks and maturity, a strong debut release!
