Cassels – You, Us and They

Overall the 4 track EP was very enjoyable. The singers voice goes very well with the sound this duo has created. It was very interesting to not have any idea what would come next. I truly look forward to what else these brothers will release in the future, would definitely recommend giving them a listen.

Cassels the brotherly duo from Oxfordshire will be dropping an EP this Friday called You Us and They.

The first track Cool Box starts off with a heavy guitar riff, followed by a steady drum beat that has the listener anticipating lyrics at any moment. Almost making the listener feel lost in a Linkin Park vibe. The lyrics come along with a catchy change of guitar strings that carry throughout the song until midway through. Guitar strings hang on the words from the singer quickly picking up with a change of pace. The lyrics are sang with anger and frustration, setting the mood for the song, ending with drums, symbols, and a guitar fade.

You Us and They is introduced with a voice speaking of health services. The singer breaks into the lyrics with, “Apparently our well being isn’t a given right”. Keeping the listener intrigued with these lyrics while the guitar and drums pick up and slow for the song.

Overall the 4 track EP was very enjoyable. The singers voice goes very well with the sound this duo has created. It was very interesting to not have any idea what would come next. I truly look forward to what else these brothers will release in the future, would definitely recommend giving them a listen.
