Belial have released an album under the name “Nihil Est”, with an amazingly mysterious album cover. A broken light bulb hangs from the ceiling of what looks like caves. Faces can be made out in the rocks, or it can be the mind playing tricks. Who knows, but it’s truly intriguing.
The opening track begins with an eerie tone, leaving the listener with a lot of anticipation. As the guitar starts, so do the drums and the whirlwind of heavy emotions begin. A rough voice comes through and puts one in a headbanging mood.
As the tracks continue, each emotion is felt through every well constructed sound that is heard. Belial isn’t for everyone though. If you have a love for heavy guitar riffs, a roller coaster of emotions, and an amazingly rough voice, then they’re the band for you.

Throughout the album it is noted how much thought was put into each track. There are moments of what I call “rest” where the guitars fade a bit, the drums slow, and then gives the listener a jump when the sound comes back full force. Keeping the listener in high hopes of having great energy refill them again and again.
Belial are currently on tour with Black Tongue, and are said to have many surprises in store for their fans. With tour news to be released, I highly suggest keeping oneself up to date via their social media.

Hello! I'm Irene! I write concert and music reviews for AltCorner. I've always had passion for writing & music, thankfully AltCorner has given me a chance to combine the two! I'm currently pursuing my goal to work in radio broadcasting and open my own production studio in the future. With this genre my taste ranges from 5 Seconds of Summer, Good Charlotte, Sleeping With Sirens, to Black Veil Brides and Bring Me The Horizon.
