Vocalist Tom Fieldhouse says; “For a lot of people our age, particularly musicians, they’re coming to this fork in the road of pursuing their dream or taking the ‘safe route’. A lot of our lyrics address those internal and external conflicts. In fact, the entire EP is based around a ‘common ground’ of issues that everyone goes through at some point; there’s a linear theme that runs throughout every track that we feel people will relate to.”

Vexxes debut EP is full of mini-anthems, soaring vocal melodies and rock solid guitars. Tom explains; “We like to think we sit nicely on a line between heavy alternative music, and a more pop based alt-rock, which most bands only really achieve one or the other of. We are influenced by all sorts of different bands, but the ‘common ground’ for us is definitely hooky, melodic anthems with subtle heavy elements. We like to get to the hook fast, to get the song drilled into people’s heads, then we jump into epic, powerful riffy sections to keep the energy flowing.”

Vexxes ‘Common Ground’ Tracklisting:
1. Lead Us Home | 2. Convictions | 3. Everything I’ve Ever Known | 4. Enemies
