Ever wondered what your favourite artists think is the best song they’ve written? How about the meaning behind it? Well don’t fret because we at AltCorner have got you covered! Here Concrete Kingdoms take us behind the scenes on their favourite song!

What is your favourite song you’ve written?

Die This Day – one of the tracks from our debut EP.

What inspired the song?

With so much negativity floating around in people’s lives I wanted to write a song that when you listen to it you can engage with the lyrics to the point of understanding, that yeah life does get tough but stick with your own instincts, beliefs and rely on yourself to get you through it and not let it get you down.

What is it about the track that makes it so special to you?

I wanted to write a song to help inspire me but ended up writing a song that appears to connect to anyone that hears it when performed live. For me choruses are the drive of any song however in this track the pre-chorus of “This ain’t a love song, To tear me apart, would you be there to break my fall” grabs you and leads you into the main chorus which provides the heartbeat to the message of the song “Thing’s won’t always go my way, Time will never stop, I’ll never die this day”
