With the upcoming release of album, ‘Fractures‘, on September 1st, Soft Fangs have released ‘Elephant Girl’.

Elephant Girl is a hazy alt-folk track with raspy vocals, a dreamy guitar, and a melody which just makes you feel relaxed, and somehow nostalgic about last summer. It’s great, and definitely will get you excited about the album release.

Following 2016 album ‘The Light’, Soft Fangs takes inspiration from The Beach Boys, Leonard Cohen and Pavement to create a dreamy, dark pop LP which tackles themes like loneliness and alienation, as well as workaholics, and general aspects – ‘fractures’ of life.

The brains behind the music, John Lutkevich, spent over a year writing, but only three days recording the album, saying “It’s the first album where I’ve enlisted the help of others to engineer, so I let my good friends handle all of the recording aspects, and I just got to run from instrument to instrument.”
