Sad Blood announce weekend tour

After a failed attempt at stand up comedy and wrestling careers (their loss is our gain), George Phillips picked up a guitar and began penning tracks about his failed imaginary relationship with world-renowned popstar Taylor Swift (we’re sure she’ll love you George!) and his failures in life and love. Sad Blood was born following the relentless failed recruiting of bassist Krys Bascombe and drummer Daniel Goldberg that eventually led to them relenting and joining.

The band created a raft of emo, power-pop tracks and even endured a lengthy, albeit fictional, court battle over their Bad Blood inspired name (Taylor, let the guy take you on a date!). The band are one of the best bands in the ’emo-revival’ and take inspiration from the likes of Algernon Cadwallader (although quick question, did they get their name from a sibling of Welsh Crimean War nurse Betsi Cadwaladr? But hey, I digress), Into It Over It, Mineral and Sunny Day Real Estate.

The band are heading out on a short weekend tour at the end of the month and you can check out the dates below;

September 29 with Broadbay and Blood Visions – Garibaldi Cellar – Northampton

September 30 with Bellevue Days – 229 – London

October 1 with Dowsing, Ratboys & many more – Stugglefest 2016

So go and check them out (and if possible, drag Ms Swift along to a show!)
