LA based pop-punk trio PVMNTS have had a huge lot of hype surrounding them despite only having a demo of track Jumping Stairsets available. However that did not stop them from putting on a stellar headline tour here in the UK and being invited to perform at this year’s Slam Dunk Festival.
But now the trio, comprising of Freddy Ramirez (vocals, guitar, bass), Tyler Posey (vocals, bass, guitar) and Nick Guzman (drums), have revealed details of their debut release! Better Days is set to be unleashed on the world on August 17th! Fans who caught the band on their UK tour will have heard some of the tracks from the EP live but we can now also listen to Standing (On My Own Two Feet) in studio version with the premiere of the video!
The anthemic track has a very heartfelt story behind it as the band explain; “Tyler wrote this song during the passing of his mother so there’s a lot of emotion in writing and recording this song. It’s basically about when you hit a point in your life where your life will change and there’s nothing you can do about. The only control that you have is deciding whether or not it’s going to fuck you up or you take a positive route and do something good with what you’ve just been through.”
The accompanying visual for the track features a behind the scenes look at life on the road with PVMNTS as well as some on stage footage from their recent UK tour! Check out Standing (On My Own Two Feet) below;
PVMNTS bring an undeniably catchy blend of pop-punk to the forefront, combining the energy with important lyrical themes including depression, anxiety, death and self-doubt.
