Record Store Day is getting bigger all around the world every year and this year, Newport in South Wales’ celebrations saw the announcement of a crowdfunding page going live to help fund The Rock Of Newport!
The film, brainchild of Nathan Jennings, is set to show the history and work of the people who helped to shape a music scene that is known internationally, particularly the legendary venue of TJs which has attracted plenty of international artists, including some of the biggest acts in the world!
There will also be interviews with some very well known artists on their experiences in Newport’s historic venues, the confirmed include; Metallica, MISFITS, Sex Pistols, NOFX, The Damned and Skindred with more in the works!
