It’s time to get to know Noija! We asked frontman Nick 10 questions about his musical likes, tastes and guilty pleasures…

How would you describe your taste in music?

I’d probably say that I listen to basically everything. I don’t stick to just one genre. Whatever sounds good in my ears goes in to my playlists.

Who do you consider to be your favourite band and why?

It’s hard for me to just name one band that’s my favourite but right now, I have to go with The Plot In You. Landon Tewers lyrics feels so honest and their album ‘Happiness In Self Destruction’ just speaks to me.

Who is the best live band you’ve ever seen?

I have to go with Kings Of Leon. I’ve seen them twice and I’m just blown away by their performances.

What is the one song that you could listen to forever?

Any song from ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ by Pink Floyd. I grew up with Pink Floyd and I still enjoy that album as much as I did back when I was a teenager.

What album, if any, was a turning point in your ‘musical life’ and why?

I don’t think I really have an album that made me reach a turning point but what made me start playing music, have to be ‘Stand Up And Scream’ by Asking Alexandria.

In 3 words, what makes a good album or song?

Lyrics, melodies, emotions

A festival or a gig? Why?

To play at a festival, on a big stage in front of a big crowd would be amazing but, I’m more into intimate shows. Small venues that are packed. It all feels so much more personal.

Who would be your 3 dream festival headliners?

Bring Me The Horizon, Architects and State Champs. I just love those three bands and they fit so good on the bigger stages.

Who are the best new band you’ve discovered lately that everyone should know about?

I recently started to listen to Alazka. Their latest album ‘Phoenix’ is such a good jam. You should give it a go!

What band or artist is your secret, or not so secret, guilty pleasure?

Haha I have to go with Zac Brown Band. I’m a sucker for country sometimes. It’s all about good vibes and I enjoy it.
