The UK music scene is thriving and there are a wide variety of bands and music scenes across the country just waiting to be discovered. Here at Alt Corner we thought we'd share with you some of the best bands from our local areas. Today it's the turn of Laura, Head of Features who gives us the run down on Gloucestershire and The South West.

Elessar

Gloucester quartet Elessar are the self described, gritty emo/punk band that you should know about. Not so quietly, they've been making waves across the local music scene and their passionate style has gained them many fans. They're ones to keep an eye on for sure.

St Pierre Snake Invasion

If you like your music loud, then The St Pierre Snake Invasion are for you. This heavy punk band don't hold back whatsoever and those vocals can be heard a mile off. Regulars at Cheltenham's 2000 Trees Festival, the band always put on a show and if you get the chance to see them live, do it - you're certainly going to remember it.
