Anewrage got stuck in to our Desert Island Discs challenge and each took it in turn to choose their ultimate album. A real diversity emerged!

We will pick one for each band member, you know…if we get lost somewhere on a desert island we should make the living easier!

Axel Capurro (Vocals)

Karnivool – Sound Awake

This record had my mind blown! I literally became obsessed with it and couldn’t stop listening. At a certain point I kinda had to force myself to stop with this addiction.
I think it’s one of the most intense, deep, diverse, emotional albums ever made; Its songwriting is superb and it delivers a strange and beautiful vibe. It just resonates a lot with me and I can feel some sort of connection. It’s definitely something I wish I could have written.
Alessandro Ferrarese (Drums):

Slipknot – Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)

This album is a masterpiece. Period.

We listened to it when we were thirteen and we still enjoy it today.

This record is the soundtrack of all the years we’ve spent together ‘til now, and this could be enough to give you an answer.

Simone Martin (Bass)
Destrage – The King Is Fat N’ Old

In 2010 we totally fell in love with this record, we’ve been listening to it two/three times a day for the whole year.

In this record we can find a lot of emotions, psychedelic moments, an introspective ballad and lot of energy.

This album was made by our Italian pride and good friends Destrage, awesome musicians, able to write great songs and play kickass shows.

Manuel Sanfilippo (Guitar)

This is War – Thirty Seconds to Mars

It’s more than a concept album, this record contains just the truth and all the feelings that creates (Hope, rage, empathy, love, dreams); every single song is perfect alone, and the entire album is more than a recording, it’s like a journey.

I admire their way to face the events and the way to transform the bad things into awesome songs. I completely love the sound.

Christian Salvatore (Guitar)
Bob Marley & The Wailers
– Legend (Compilation)

It’s the album that reminds me of my childhood’s happiness, long trips with my parents and my first dog “Jamming”. A lot of things that can make me happy every time and everywhere. So, the Tropical Ocean is good, sun is good and good memories are good too!

We just hope to have a CD player too!
