The Bristol music scene has always been renowned for its sheer quantity of bands but it takes a lot for one of them to stand out from the crowd. Step forward, Pushing Daisies. The emo four-piece take up the mantle of the sad kids at the party; bringing fine slices of emo tracks doused with punk overlays and vocals.
Think the late 90s midwest emo scene fused with bands like Hildamay and Hot Water Music and you are essentially on the right lines…
Their EP ‘Middle Child’ was re-recorded a little while ago and has enabled the sad punks to play with artists such as Pity Sex, As It Is and Save Your Breath. We can only hope they are squirreling themselves away to begin work on a next release but in the meantime, it seems rude not to go back and rejoice in this fine release once again.
