A very emotional night but it showed that FVK are going to go on and have plenty of success in their future ventures. A very good festival overall which organiser Adam Tibbs should give himself a pat on the back for! Now to count down the days until the next Shield Fest!

Pennsylvania metallers Motionless in White are currently on the Vans Warped Tour, however before they went, they gave fans a teaser of the forthcoming album (expected early 2017 so watch this space!) with the release of track 570.
Rave the Reqviem preach The Gospel of Nil
Swedish industrial metallers Rave the Reqviem have announced that their The Gospel of Nil record is set for release on October 7 via DWA. Originally started as a one man project, the quintet now features a mother-son vocal combination. The record is the first album as a quintet and effortlessly combines industrial metal, heavy electronica and mainstream rock creating a mesmerising masterpiece.
Detours – Our Promise EP
Detours, a six-piece melodic metalcore band from Lowestoft released their debut EP earlier this week. The EP Our Promise was recorded at Foxhound studios who in the past have recorded bands like Empires Fade and City of Lights. Our Promise was in production for over a year before it was released this week; however the wait was definitely worth it.

Swedish metal legends Dark Tranquility are currently recording their 11th album! The band have given us some hints to tide us over though, Atoma is the title and it’s set for release via Century Media Records on November 4 2016!
