Slam Dunk festival celebrated its tenth birthday this year with a monster party! With a diverse line-up including Panic! At the Disco, Of Mice & Men, Hellions, Blood Youth, As It Is, Yellowcard and many more, it was one not to be missed! Four writers (including myself at the Midlands) attended over the course of the weekend and give their views below!

Mitch Emery is the type of Singer/Songwriter for those who don't usually like Singer/Songwriters, this is a guy who looks like that guy from that band you can't remember the name of but, remember really liking. IF you take Green Day, My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, blend with Damien Rice and Glen Hansard, garnish with a sprinkling of Hip-Hop and a healthy dollop of lively stage persona. You now have yourself a Mitch Emery.
Essex isn't usually known for it's indie/emo offerings but this time it's been kind and given us the gift of Bodyheat. Coming in strong with their debut single, 'Hold On', Bodyheat draws influences from bands like Turnover and Pity Sex whilst still very much sounding unique and fresh.
Architects, are a five piece hardcore band from Brighton, formed over a decade ago back in 2004, the band have now finally released their epic seventh album, 'All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us.' And if you're a big fan of their previous album, 'Lost Forever // Lost Together' then you'll definitely be a fan of this eleven track killer.
