Farewell, My Love – Above It All
This is an incredible record that shows the band’s maturing sound, while still keeping the theatrical elements. There is something for everyone here and it is definitely the quartet’s most impressive work to date. The skill on guitar is second-to-none and the vocals are beautifully overlaid, with a great range from Chad. I can’t give you a stand-out track because they are all mini-masterpieces. I am going to go all out and say that this is my favourite album of 2016!
Landmarks are Cutting Strings
Manchester alt-rockers Landmarks have released the video for Cutting Strings. The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming third EP. In Spite of it All is set for release via Scylla Records on August 12.

Meet The Decoy
Welsh alt-rockers The Decoy are celebrating the announcement of their debut album Avalon (out via Ghoulish Records on July 29) by announcing a run of live shows and a new video! The video sees the band chuck the mainstream idea of using microphones, instead opting to give carrots and broccoli new purposes.

The South Wales four piece are celebrating the release of their self titled album “The Broadcasts”. They are fun and energetic from the start. The crowd are joyful, friendly and are generally enjoying the music.

Alt-rock trio Beware of Darkness have released the video for new track Muthafucka. The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Are You Real? which is set for release later this year via Bright Antenna Records.
Chase The Day announce debut album
London alt-rockers Chase The Day have announced their debut album will finally see the light of day with it’s release on September 9. Tabula Rasa was due to be released in December 2015, but was pushed back due to technical errors. The album is a haven for those who recall the 90’s alternative rock/grunge era with twelve tracks featuring massive, catchy hooks and groovy riffs.

Manchester rock quartet Landmarks have announced their latest EP In Spite of it All is set for release on August 12. The title of the record is perhaps very accurate because in spite of all that has happened during the recording process, the EP is here and ready for release.
A Work Of Fiction – Falling to the Rhythm
Cleveland, OH’s alt-punk quintet A Work Of Fiction has released their new single “Falling to the Rhythm”. The song is accompanied by a live studio video shot by Evan Prunty of Enfinite Studios while the band was recording the track at Bad Racket Studios.
Heel – Nothing New
London alt-rockers Heel have released the awesome video for track Nothing New. The four-piece are regulars on AltCorner and we are delighted to say we’ve named this track our Track of the Day!
The Autumn Ravine – An Intrinsic Evolution
An interesting title, much fitting with the cover art. To me, it looks as though we’re looking at an evolution of a man who struggled and worked through his life, but once he had a son of his own, his child was given money straight from his father’s pocket.
SAOSIN – ALONG THE SHADOW
There’s not much else to say about this album except that well, it’s simply awesome. And if post-hardcore is your thing, then you may just agree.
