Download Festival has some exciting artists lined up for 2018, most notably the headliners Avenged Sevenfold, Guns ‘N’ Roses and Ozzy Osbourne. However, who else is there that you should check out? Well we’ve dug through the line-up to find some hidden gems you cannot afford to miss!

The Faim

Australian alt-rockers The Faim have burst onto the scene in recent months with a brand of energetic, heartfelt rock, winning over legions of fans with their talent and humble personalities. Having taken both the UK and their homeland Australia by storm on tours with Lower Than Atlantis and Sleeping With Sirens, they will be a brilliant fit for the Download crowd, so if you want a break from all the headbanging to the heavier bands on the bill and fancy a bit of a dance, make sure you head to see The Faim, because if you miss out, well let’s just say you won’t be one of the cool kids.


US metalcorers Blessthefall have just released a brand new album Wishful Thinking packed full of anthemic sing-a-longs that will go down well with the crowd at Download festival. Creating the perfect blend of melodic and heavy and with a decades worth of back catalogue, there will be something for everyone during their set.

The Struts

Brit rockers The Struts have delighted fans across the world with their glam rock, including selling out their four night residency at L.A’s historic The Roxy venue in hours, the quartet are worthy of their main stage slot under Guns ‘N’ Roses. It’s guaranteed their set will be full of good old rock ‘n’ roll vibes.

Sun Arcana

Sun Arcana may be a relatively new band but boy do they have it all. Their studio EP As I Take A Breath was received with critical acclaim and then they go and melt hearts with their acoustic EP Acoustic Sessions! If you like sing-a-long anthems, make sure to check these guys out!

Being As An Ocean

Another with massive sing-a-longs are Being As An Ocean, who blend atmospheric and soaring vocal melodies with angst and guttural screams for some mind-blowing metalcore which they will be bringing to the Avalanche stage.

In This Moment

In This Moment will be bringing their entrancing live show to Download Festival! Following the release of acclaimed album Ritual, the band will be blending their gritty metal with scream queen frontwoman Maria Brink’s pop-star inspired on-stage shenanigans and routines.

Jonathan Davis

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis is appearing solo following the release of debut solo album Black Labyrinth. The record is as captivating as the man himself, so hearing the tracks live is sure to be a highlight of the festival.

Andrew W.K

The party king Andrew W.K. returns to Download festival following his raucous 2015 headline slot. Expect a lot of hard partying from the PMA-promoting rocker and crowd surfing, lots and lots of crowd surfing! This will be the chance to have a dance to his latest album You’re Not Alone!

Boston Manor

Boston Manor kick off the weekend on the big stage as they bring their captivating punk to the main stage audience. Not ones to shy away from big events; having toured the world, performed on the Kerrang! Tour and Warped Tour as well as sharing stages with the likes of Moose Blood and Can’t Swim, Boston Manor will be right at home on the biggest rock stage.

Guns ‘N’ Roses

Saturday headliners Guns ‘N’ Roses have a three and a half hour set that is going to be jam packed with hits from their impressive back catalogue. While it is a lengthy set, we can guarantee that there will be a lot of surprises to keep things interesting and ending day 2 with a bang!
