ALTERNATIVE MUSIC FESTIVALS - 2000trees ones to watch 2018

2000trees is almost upon us and 2018’s line-up has tonnes of incredible artists, including headliners Enter Shikari, At The Drive In and Twin Atlantic. With a whole host of talent on show, both from the UK and overseas, we at AltCorner have racked our brains to give you our picks for the stand-out sets of the weekend!

Grumble Bee

First up on our list we have a set not to miss over in the Forest! If you need a way to nurse the hangover from Thursday night and also listen to some of the best vocals we’ve heard, then Grumble Bee’s Friday slot on the Forest acoustic stage is the best place to be! A last minute stand-in on the Forest stage last year blew the packed crowd away and we guarantee that there will be more of the same this year!

Also on the Friday we have L.A. rap punk crossover Ho99o9. Known for their riotous live shows, they are sure to get you moving and provide some of the heavier tunes of the weekend.

Nervus have been making waves in the underground scene, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community for vocalist Em Foster’s openness and relatability. Musically, we are blessed with huge choruses, articulate guitars and a unique punk flair.

Goth punks Creeper will be bringing their Callous Hearts back to 2000trees. In 2016, they put on a stellar show on the Main Stage, however, this year they will be returning to the Cave stage, allowing got a more intimate and intense stage show.

Marmozets will be taking to the stage to bring their entrancing rock to the masses. Following their Main Stage performance at this year’s Download festival, we are excited to see them bring Knowing What You Know Now to the 2000trees crowd.

Mallory Knox

Mallory Knox have always been in the hearts of the British alternative rock scene and the seemingly effortless transition into a quartet has done nothing but cement that fact. It will be good to see the band on stage at 2000trees as a quartet and the reaction from the dedicated music lovers.

The Xcerts

Scottish rockers The Xcerts are fast becoming a 2000trees favourite, they packed out the Cave stage at last year’s festival and this year, return with a brand new album Hold Onto Your Heart that they will be itching to perform for the 2000trees crowd.

Boston Manor

Blackpool punks Boston Manor have just announced their new record Welcome To The Neighbourhood and are on a huge high after their Download festival main stage performance. With the new record now known about, we may see the quintet returning to the festival with some of the material from the new record and if latest single Halo is anything to go by, we are all in for one big treat!
