Heavy Scotland announce two new bands!
The UK’s newest festival Heavy Scotland may only be in it’s first year but it is sure to pack a punch! Just aded to the inaugural line-up is US thrashers Havok and heavy metal legend Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden, Wolfsbane). The festival is set to take place at Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on April 1-2, 2017.

Liverpool Music Week starts on October 26 and ahead of the opening party (headlined by WARPAINT), the organisers have revealed the full line up! The festival runs across Liverpool between October 26 and November 4.

Shield Fest II (FVK/More Than Most/Junior + more) @ Hobos, Bridgend
A very emotional night but it showed that FVK are going to go on and have plenty of success in their future ventures. A very good festival overall which organiser Adam Tibbs should give himself a pat on the back for! Now to count down the days until the next Shield Fest!

Slam Dunk 2016 Review – Part Two
So, as you have probably seen in our extensive review coverage of Slam Dunk 2016 (if not, you can go and read it here) then you’ll know that there was a lot more that we left out of that article. The reason being, we didn’t want it to go on forever and you lose interest. Also as there were several of us at different dates, we thought it would be a good idea to compare some of the artists performances, as we all have varying musical tastes, you can check out some of the acts below that multiple members of our team saw and what they thought!
Slam Dunk 2016 Review – Part One
Slam Dunk festival celebrated its tenth birthday this year with a monster party! With a diverse line-up including Panic! At the Disco, Of Mice & Men, Hellions, Blood Youth, As It Is, Yellowcard and many more, it was one not to be missed! Four writers (including myself at the Midlands) attended over the course of the weekend and give their views below!
Mallory Knox @ Slam Dunk South
Five-piece rock band Mallory Knox stood out to me so much at Slam Dunk South 2016. As this was the first time I’ve been to SD, it was a pretty big deal for me, including being surrounded by many of my favorite bands and artists.
Upload Festival 2016
Before I start my review I would like to say that the UK needs more festivals like this one. It is rare that you will see such a great line up on a festival bill, especially one that has some of the best unsigned / DIY bands in the UK, so with anticipated excitement I took the long drive down to Wakefield for the first ever Upload Festival at Warehouse23.
