Welsh indie rockers Crystal Balloon released their debut EP Hurricane on July 15. They recorded the EP over four months with George Shilling, the legendary producer behind some of Oasis and Primal Scream’s best hits. The band, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Jack Stanton, guitarist Tim Burden and drummer Erik Karvik draw inspiration from a range of genres, creating their own gritty riff and catchy hook combination, overlaid by smooth vocal harmonies. I Prevail have released their new album titled “Lifelines” via Fearless Records. The one main thing I like about this band is the contrast between the melodic clean vocals and the gritty harsh vocals. Throughout every song the guitar riffs are heavy just like the harsh vocals. The drumbeats throughout are very catchy and the beats will either get you head-banging or air-drumming.

Deaf Havana were catapulted into rock’s big leagues in 2013 following the release of their incredible record Old Souls.
